A week a go three African drummers came to NBC School.I really liked that the African drummers let students join in on Drumming.I had a turn on the drums I really liked it. It was so loud it hurt my ears!

Wildfires Extreme

Do you know 60,000 Koalas are injured or killed by Wildfires every year because the Wildfires destroy their homes? On average, there are 3,000 to 4,000 wildfires in New Zealand each year. Lots of animals that use the forest as their home because all the trees and environment are very good for shelter. So, How can we fix it? How does this appear?
Why are Wildfires happening? People who smoke don’t care and throw cigarette butts into the forest? Wildfires can also occur naturally, so even if we find a way to stop Wildfires, there still will be some Wildfires that will appear since, some happen naturally. So around 500 - 1,000 Wildfires will happen each year, naturally.
How can we solve this? We can solve Wildfires by making sure people have safe fires.That we don’t play with Wildfires.People should not smoke in the forest.People shouldn’t play with matches.These are a few thing we need to bo.
In conclusion this problem is hurting the environment and we need to do something about it.

In Room 2 we are lucky enough to have people come and put on a show for us and half of the whole school. It is called the Boy With Wings. There was a boy called Jack who needed water for his trees that were dying. We crossed the seven seas, ran through and sand storm, he followed a goat, Went to a town, got into jail and found out that the water was at home so he escaped jail and went home and the water made the apple trees grow again.

On Monday my school walked to the red zone and we had to go to each level.So the first level was rice it was hot.The second level was making huts it was hard but it was fun .Level three crossing a field blindfolded it was scary because I ran in to a bush. The last level the hardest level which was the border. We had a buddy and it was the most hard level so we had to find out words in different languages and try to translate. Then we went back to school, I wouldnt want to be a refugee, its not fun.

In room 2 we are making in groups a prayer and my group has lots of animals in it. We were praying for turtles because they think plastic bags are jelly fish and then they eat them. Every morning a turtle is getting washed up on the beach with plastic inside of it.
My favourite part was making the sheep.

SWIMMING SPORTS
Last friday it was swimming sports my favorite part was... doing freestyle.It was at Rawhiti pool. I entered the width freestyle and width running!

I really loved camp and it was my first ever experience on a school camp. We are giving a letter to our helpers because with out them none of this would of happened so here is my letter.
